Free Community Announcements
If you have a community initiative you want to share or announce, let us know in advance. This is not a speed dating/pickup type event. Everyone who attends is entitled to feel safe, not be harassed or pressured. We introduced enhanced measures to address this issue following some complaints. There are plenty of other events in town with no hosting and/or code of conduct so go there if this doesn’t suit you.

Who they are and what they are doing
What they want
How they can help others
At 10 AM we stop hosting and you can talk to people who are most interesting to you.
We are focused on business and social entrepreneurs, the startup community and anyone else who is doing something interesting or wants to get involved in other people's projects. You can talk about any project/topic.
Open Coffee Lisbon is an “un-meeting” without a speaker or agenda. We are focused on attendees gaining value from other attendees. The rules, tools, structure and moderation aim to facilitate this goal.

Jonny Stuart - founder of Future Founders Interview
Future Founders describes itself as Peer-to-peer community of product, tech, business and growth specialists, c-level tech executives and founders, Jonny Stuart’s Linkedin is here Peer-to-peer community of product, tech, business and growth specialists, c-level tech executives
Richard: What is the vision for Future Founders. What problems is it aiming to solve?
Jonny Stuart: we are entering a period where people around the world are feeling increasingly disconnected from each other, nature and from the idea of a positive future.
As the world order changes, governments look inwards, the fundamental issues facing humanity can only be solved as we come together.
FF was founded to democratize entrepreneurship, so talent and e every is not wasted in this critical time.
Richard: How is it different from existing ways for entrepreneurs to meet, and network together?
Jonny Stuart: FF is designed for the remote generation, we leverage local and global communities. As a member of I can for a weekend in Barcelona, I can rock up and get invited to a dinner party with other entrepreneurs interested in the same topics.
The community is really built and guided by the members that what makes it so authentic and relevant.
Richard: What are the main challenges?
Jonny Stuart: Time. We are self funded so time is always the issue.
Richard: For Future Founders to work, you need to achieve critical mass, attract people who contribute, and bring value. What will be the incentives for these types of people to come?
Jonny Stuart: the incentive is for members the build the lives they want and that benefit communities. Building a support network, your personal board of advisors, meeting founders one or two steps ahead in your local area are vital.
Richard: Moving onto leadership, how will you recruit people to lead groups in other cities - what will be your criteria and what will be “in it for them”.
Jonny Stuart: tbh that has been pretty easy, people really get it without me having to ‘sell’ anything.
Richard: how will you get the word out so that people who might be interested in getting involved get to hear about the Future Founders events and opportunities?
Jonny Stuart: the best way for Lisbon based founders is to join whatapp group https://chat.whatsapp.com/FYst2x8p2CRIgOFZWhWKms
Richard: Will you have entry standards/quality control over who attends your events ?
Jonny Stuart: whereas the membership will be vetted the events are open to any humble humans that’s wish to join.
Richard: When will you know that you have succeeded?
Jonny Stuart: it’s a journey not a destination. A key indicator that we are on the right track is feedback from the community - this both guides and energizes us.
Richard: How are you funded? We are self funded at this piont and are hoping to stay that way.
Jonny Stuart: we are bootstrapped and don’t plan on taking on investors at this point.
Richard: What is your planned business model, do you know how you will make a living out of Future Founders.
Jonny Stuart: the first 1,000 members are free for life (we have 800 right now) afte that we will charge a small subscription fee to make this a viable business without relying on ad revenue.
Richard: How can people get in touch with you if they want to ask more questions or want to help?
Here is an invitation for your readers where we ask people what they are ‘open to’ we will follow up with links to the communities. Please do get involved.
